Love the sink and the strainer basket, but now the stopper wont go in due to the gasket stretching out from pulling it out. Do you sell a replacement gasket ?

The square drain that came with our new Krause sink is very slow to drain. It’s no match to the round deep basket style kraus drain. And there’s no alternative to change it with as no other square drain can be found

Was recommended to go with the white sink I bought, but it didn’t fit due to garbage disposal being installed. I returned it but never got issued my refund. Pretty lame.

I installed two Kraus sinks in my new kitchen about two years ago. I love them even though the square corners in their bottoms require frequent cleaning unlike on the sinks that are more rounded in the bottom. On the main sink in my kitchen, the secure gasket on the strainer has worn out and started falling apart. I wanted to replace it, but could not find any rubber gaskets on this website. I feel that it is not right to replace the whole strainer just because of the rubber gasket wears out so quickly.

I bought this unit as part of a bunch of Kraus products. This one however is not up to par. Due to the tri arm stopper support, it’s near impossible to get the food down into the disposal. Kraus needs to develop a new rubber damper/shield so that food can go down like any other typical round design.

I recently a Kraus sink with square drains installed, and was surprised to discover that sendin food into the garbage disposal had now become a multi-step process, which includes removing the adaptor by inserting your fingers INTO the disposal, which then exposes the entire disposal. Not only is this unsafe and cumbersome, if you do not replace the adaptor prior to running the disposal, food particles splash up through the wide open drain hole, spreading food contaminants around the sink. With any other design, you can safely use a utensil to guide the food into the drain while running the disposal. I do not trust this design with my children. It is unsafe to expose the blades of the disposal, unsafe to require your hand to enter the disposal to use it, unsafe to have to excessively move parts in order to get items with potential bacteria down the drain and then cover it up so the bacteria does not splash throughout the kitchen. I NEVER would have let my contractor install a sink with square drains had I known about this ridiculous design. To top it all off, my brand new scratch-resistant sink has a scratch from my fingernail, and it is impossible to keep clean. Water spots everywhere and it always looks dirty.

Only in service for about six months. I used plumbers putty instead of the rubber gasket because I’m old fashioned and I wanted a tight finished look in the sink bottom. However, this is a “shell” design and you technically would not need putty or the gasket. That is because any water that gets under the flange goes right into the shell of the unit, which is sealed to the drain. So instead of the water seal being in the bottom of the sink under the flange, the actual water seal is underneath the sink where the shell of this unit makes contact to the underside of the sink. As far as the design, it’s great… this deep basket catches everything very well. As far as the shell, leaks are less likely, but I believe you might get crud or slime buildup inside the shell. The shell is hollow between the inside metal pieces and the outside plastic pieces. Gravity takes water down, but if crud or slime decides to stay inside that shell and grow, nothing would be able to stop it or flush it out. You would have to take it apart and manually clean.
As you can see from my photo, the screw-nut inside that holds everything together is starting to get rust pits. This is very disappointing and this part should also be made from stainless steel. I wonder how long before it’s so rusted it either falls apart or cannot be unscrewed.

The screw that held the basket together rusted and broken in half while I was doing dishes. Needless to say, it was a huge mess…

Seems to collect lots of water spots, etc. It would be great if they could make this in the Spotfree Stainless Steel finish just like the other accessories like the air gap, soap dispenser, etc.

I ordered this to go with my new bronze colored sink. The color was a good match but the plastic basket snapped on install making it useless. I will be returning and getting a metal one.
