I installed this late April 2020. I’d read the reviews, so I was prepared to make adjustments for fit. After several test fittings, I was satisfied. The only issue I had with the mount clips was that they would have been easier to tighten if they were Phillip’s head instead of straight slot. I went with the really impressive and classy Kohler drain for the left side, and a 3/4 hp In-sink-erator Badger 15SS on the right, both of which mounted easily (just follow the instructions, folks!). Due to the drains positioned further out and back towards the corners, I had to replace the entire drain system, which actually made more undercounter room for stuff. The soap dispenser fits perfectly in the 4th hole in the corner. After 7 weeks, yes there are a few marks in the bottom now, but NO signs of rust. It looks great in my kitchen, holds a *lot* more, and large/long items that would not fit in my old sink. Everyone who has seen it has been impressed! Absolutely recommend!

After 4 days of the sink being installed under our new granite countertops it is rusting in the bowl. No cleaner has been in the bowl just water and hand soap as we are still in the process of updating. I have not been able to reach out to Kohler yet, but will update with their response when I fo.

We purchased the sink as a replacement of an old 2 basin model when we were installing a new formica countertop. The issue has to do with installation and features when installing it as a top mount unit. The clips that lock down the sink to the countertop are inadequate and difficult to install. Kohler should realize that formica countertops have a thicker base on the front and back and provide longer ones to allow proper installation. I ended up a 1/2″ spade bit to thin out the areas so I could install the clips. The clips and screws are black with a small single slot that are difficult to see when lying under the cabinet with limited light. We reused a Price Pfister faucet. It’s impossible to install the soap dispenser as the hole is to close to the basin. I guess you have to purchase a Kohler soap dispenser to fit in the limited space. If I hadn’t installed the faucet first I’d still be under the sink trying to install it. The instructions are minimal at best. Example “Verify cabinet clearance”, but no information on space constraints.

Love the look of this sink – BUT – even though KOHLER states it is a Dual Mount Sink my Granite Countertop Contractor (which is one of the largest in Southern California) Absolutely Refuses to install it is an undermount. They tell me the Faucet Holes are located to close to the cutout line which will weaken the granite enough that it will likely Crack at those locations, Even though I am using 3CM thick Stone
Now I have even seen comments from KHOLER stating it should only be used as a Drop-in
KHOLER needs to change their Labeling on the box – it claims to be a DUAL Mount and even they don’t believe it themselves!
I give this only 1 Star based on using this sink as an Undermount
I would give it 5 Stars for Drop in Mount, Style and Construction

Very nice sink. Double bowls are nice and deep and just a perfect size. A very fair price for the quality. I would definitely recommend this sink!

We purchased this sink after looking at a multitude of possibilities and this one was the best for our situation, the thickness of the stainless steel was the main reason, along with the finish. I recommend buying the Kohler drain kit, etc. I highly recommend – may not mean anything but the Plumber liked it as well, said it was easy to install.

I bought this sink yesterday. After looking at about a million sinks finally chose this one. Was so excited bringing it home, already had my new faucets waiting for a sink to put them on. I opened the box and immediately did not like the finish. Brushed finish looks like it was brushed down with sandpaper. I don’t think I can live with a sink that has a scratched up finish all over. I will be returning it. I am so disappointed. They have another one in stock and I will look at it. If that one has a nice finish I will write another review. I loved the shape and size and style of this one. I would only recommend it if you don’t mind the kind of finish it has.

I so loved the design of this sink,my husband and a few people tried to talk me out of this sink, but I wouldn’t budge. The first one we opened was dented badly, took it back, lowes very good about it. opened 2nd one and dented worse. took it back third one dented but only a little and since it held my builder up,we put it in,as under mount.Well the FIRST day i used it the pan scratched it up badly. Its a sink suppose to be able to do dishes in it without scratches!! Since i have it as an undersink with quartz counter top lain on it,not able to take out. Now I am afraid to let anything touch it. It is scratched very badly. I wipe it all down with a soft cloth every day /night. two days ago (only used it two months now) there is pin point spots on top of it, that won’t come out. I am so depressed. DONT buy it ! A shame as I love the cutting board on top and design.

The sink is great except for the fact that the right front corner was bent so severely that it was severely bent down onto itself. The box did not show the kind of extreme damage required to bend stainless steel in such a way indicating the damage occurred from the factory. The challenge here is that customer service is so terrible, I thought it better to try to repair the damage, which I did to a very reasonable degree but not without spending nearly 1/2 an hour tweaking it so it looked good. Kohler get a negative rating for poor quality control and , well, I have just never had a reasonably good experience with their customer service compared to any other home improvement company.

We wanted a large stainless steel sink similar in size to our old sink. This one is large enough to easily wash my pots and pans. I like having the double bowls and the spot for the side spray–which I use all the time. This was easy to install and such an improvement in the look of our kitchen. It’s easy to clean and durable. I am still so happy with it, even four months later!

It is beautiful but it stains so quickly with only water. Needs to bevwiped constantly so it wont look rundiwn. It does not have straight foward or good instructions either when installing. The plumber had to make adjustments. Will update with what had to be purchased.

We love the design of this sink. Its deep and has very large bowls for easy washing of all dishes and mixing bowls. But after using it for only one month we have RUST SPOTS on it. Very disappointed with this product. Would NOT recommend this product to anyone.

I really should have gotten a granite sink. They look so much nicer but I was told that it is a lot of work to keep it looking nice so I went with this. Guess what? This takes a lot of work to keep it looking nice!
This thing is a stain magnet. I have had many stainless steel sinks in my life and this is the only one that actually stains. Lots of Bar Keepers Friend and elbow grease keeps it looking nice.
The drain placement was unusual, adding complexity to the install process but it wasn’t too bad.
The basins are a really good size. Not too shallow or deep
Paired with a Hansgrohe pull down faucet it looks nice occasionally.
This would easily be a 5 star sink if it were made from quality stainless steel.

I did a lot of research on a number of sinks and chose this one in the end. I purchased it at and am confident the box noted it was rust proof and scratch resistant. It was installed the second week of February and here I am, six weeks later, with way too many scratches on the bottom. I am single and wash my dishes, the few I have, about once a week, maybe twice. So, I’ve purchased a rubber mat to hide the scratches, but I should not have had to do that. I will be writing a complaint to the manufacturer after I get a photo of the exterior of the box showing what is advertised. This is not right.

Love the design fits perfectly in mobile home

I bought this sink for its size and depth as a replacement for our badly stained porcelain sink. It wasn’t until we started using it that we realized the design flaw. The divider is FLAT on top which means water pools there – not good. If the divider were rounded off, water would run off the sides. Always having standing water on the divide makes the sink area always look and feel “messy”. Constantly having to wipe up water from the divider isn’t something I signed up for.
Not happy.

This is my second installation of this fantastic sink. The Octave Models provide the depth and extra 17 inch length for large pans cooking sheets and racks for my large scale smoker cooking business. Clean up begins with a submerged soap soaking of large traces to make final cleanup a snap with no water mess on countertops in the process. Advise buying the protective steel insert bowl racks available as an online purchase.

Like the unique contoured look but the edge is rough all around the sink. Perhaps with time it will smooth out.

As others have stated I am experiencing rust on this sink. I see a customer service response saying that people should clean their sinks with each use or regularly. Let it be said we use a soft nylon bristle brush to clean the sink when needed. It is maybe 3 months old. We find that when we clean out pet food cans and leave them in the sink it will rust at their point of contact. Leaving rust rings. Thing is I had a stainless steel sink before this one. This NEVER happened. I am a Handyman that has replaced sinks. I have not experienced this in my professional or personal experience. So if we throw certain things in there, get busy for a week and don’t do dishes, now we get rust spots that we are supposed to clean off? This can not be acceptable as a quality product. This doesn’t happen on all stainless steel sinks. I would love customer service to help me undertand why I’m now expected to clean my sink from rust spots as a normal procedure for a kitchen sink with normal use. If other sinks don’t do this, why does this one?

This sink is such a disappointment. I really wanted to love it, but it scratches so easily and after only a month it’s starting to rust!
Very rarely is a pan or dish left to sit in my sink for long as I am fairly quick to wash the dishes, but either way, this sink should not be rusting. I have lived in this house for over 12 years and the other sink had zero scratches and zero rust. I purposely bought a Kohler sink because it boasted quality. They missed the mark.
I have used Barkeeper’s Friend Soft Cleanser as recommended on another review by Kohler which did not work.
I’m stuck with it now as I can’t afford to replace it again, but I’m hoping to help someone else before they purchase it. Sadly do not recommend.

Perfect fitting sink, love stainless steel double sink

I love this sink as it replaced a ceramic coated, cast iron sink that was easily damaged and stained. This one is easily cleaned and fit snuggly in the created opening. I have yet to be disappointed by any Kohler product purchase.

I bought and installed this sink a day ago. It wasn’t the easiest to install with their clamps they have, but I managed. My particular install was difficult for many reasons none to do with Kohler except those clamps. The reason for the very bad rating and no recommendation for a friend is that today after not even actually using the sink for more than just filling the bowls to test for leaks, the side of one of the bowls has RUST. My brand new stainless steel expensive sink by a reputable company has RUST. I guess it happens I didnt know it would/could rust. My previous builder grade SS sink of 16 years never rusted and i don’t know if i have ever seen rust in SS. I called Kohler and sent them photos. They are supposed to issue me a letter to take to to get a new sink, so if this happens, then they’ve sort of made it right. THANK GOD I installed this myself or I’d be out all that money because they don’t cover installation. That said, I am out all the additional money for putty and silicone unless I have enough usable leftover. But thats a lot of labor and frustration down the drain, all puns intended! I dont know if it’s a bad batch of steel, the design, kohler or what, but this is absolutely frustrating.

I’m pleased with the sink, the design and depth are just what I wanted. We waited to pull off the blue tape protecting the sink until we got it installed. Big mistake. The is a straight line scratch that looks pretty deep that is on top off the sink divider. I’m so disappointed and will have to figure out how to repair my brand new sink. We had bought a different sink the day before and we weren’t pleased with it so going through the process of removing this one to take it back right now and finding another one is just too much. I would think The Kohler Company would have inspected their products a little more closely. This scratch could not have been missed!

I fell in love with this sink when I saw it at my aunt’s house, so I ordered one; When my husband installed the sink we noticed the scratches on it but we decided to keep it anyway; Then we didn”t receive the stoppers for the sink so we bought 2. My issues arent big issues but when u purchase an item that cost over $200.00 u at least expect to have the stoppers. You shouldn’t have to purchase them separately.
