I wanted to change my health by changing the way i eat and the way i cook. I wanted to use stainless steel cookware but was afraid to cook on it because of food sticking. I used You Tube to watch videos on cooking in the skillets and learned it is easier than i thought. One thing i learned was to not cook on high heat but to use medium and let the skillet heat up before adding oil. I love the weight and finish on my cookware and the way the lids sit on the pans. So far I’ve fried eggs, cooked halibut, made stews and even gumbo. My pans still look like new. With the satisfaction guarantee there is no reason not to try this cookware and ditch the teflon pans.

I received this cookware for Christmas. I love almost everything about it. The pros are it cooks great and the clean up is super, even frying foods is so simple to clean up! Also, the handles do stay cool, but not the lid handles. The cons are they scratch so easily, no matter how careful you are. I wished the surface was much more durable. You have to wash by hand so you can’t have it in the sink with other dishes. Also, i wished the soup pot was a little deeper. Although the set comes with the extra large pot and colander for steaming, i don’t need a pot that large for smaller batch of soups or chili.

Love this new cookware. Only downside is the handle on the lids. The lids should be coated with a heat resistant coating.

The set is less than 6 months old, and one of the pans is already showing signs of wear despite using plastic spoons to cook with, very disappointed!,

Loving it so far! I’ve had my set less than a month, but we are all home for the summer right now and I use it daily for breakfast lunch and dinner and it has held up well. Love the nonstick surface and that it does not require high heat to cook.

Yes, I give the Cuisinart Contour Stainless Steel 13 piece Cookware Set a 10 Star Rating. This is the absolute best purchase I have ever made. I know this set will long out live me, that now poses a problem as I have five children. How do you choose just one of the five to receive you most valued possession?
I did a ton of online searching and reading of reviews on many different manufacturers of similar sets. I did not take anything lightly in my search. I read all reviews both good and bad. I first came upon the Cuisinart Contour Stainless Steel line sometime in 2013. Its stunning contoured shape I just could not get out of my head. So, in all honesty that was the icing on the cake as to which set I would settle on; and I always came back to having the Contour at the top of my list.
First, I know you’ll ask why it took so long for me to finally make my purchase. Quite frankly it was timing and money. Over the years as most things the pricing went down, and I’ve been on a very tight budget since 2012. When I bought my Contour Set everything had come into play perfectly, and I took the leap and I am so very glad I did. I’ve not look back since. I love this cookware.
Do not be scared off from stainless steel cooking, it is very similar to cast iron cooking in that you always use a lower heat setting. Trust me I’ll never give up my cast iron cookware or my Contour Set. Cast Iron is rugged and enables you to cook on just about any type of heat source including campfires. I also think that there is a lot more time consuming care that goes into the care of cast iron; and you certainly do not put cast iron in the dishwasher. But, you can the Contour. I have not put my Contour in the dishwasher, but never say never!
I took delivery of my Contour Set 08/13/2017, and honestly have not cooked with anything but the Contour since. Clean up is a breeze, and actually easier than cleaning my cast iron. I did have minor discoloration in the bottom of the 4 quart Dutch Oven when cooking rice on the stove top. However, it easily came out with just a little extra rubbing of a microfiber cloth with a dab of vinegar and Dawn dish detergent.
I have also purchased the 5 quart Saute Pan with Helper Handle and lid. Trust me, if you like the 3 quart version that comes in the set you will absolutely love the 5 quart version. It is now my number one go to pan, and has been used every day twice a day since I received it. Two days ago I did notice just a few little black specks in the bottom of the pan. I thought, “what the heck”, but I did not panic and I went online to research what the could be caused from. It’s not me, and it’s not the pan (thankfully); I have determined that it is due to the high concentration of Chlorine in my water. I found this article on the web “Stainless Steel Pitting: little black spots on my stainless steel pots?
This entry was posted on August 3, 2017 by Gary Li.” It was very informational and cured my problem. I already knew I had awful water and use a faucet mount water filter. However, when cooking (especially boiling water for anything) I do not generally use the filtered water. Guess I just thought that the boiling would take any yucky stuff out. So from now on it is filtered water even while cooking.
Finally, I love this cookware so much I’ll be buying all the add-on pieces I can (one every other month), plus I have already wrote to Cuisinart to inquire and/or suggest additional pieces. I hope you all find this review helpful in making your decision to purchase the Contour Stainless Steel 13 piece set. I just know you are going to love it too!

I love it, they heat evenly and doesn’t stick. They are also easy to clean. I hope they last longer than others. So far, the products worth the money.

The set I had before this had rubber or plastic over the handles, this set can burn you if you don’t use oven mittons to take the lids off or even when trying pick it up by the handle. A step down from their previous design. The edges of the lids also make clicking noises when using them while cooking, is it going to crack or shatter?

Wonderful set of cookware. Definitely a learning curve to using it properly and cleaning, but so far we’ve enjoyed it. Make sure you read the care instructions that come with it!

I have had this cookware set about 1 month there are several things I really love about this set, it is light weight, they really look beautiful and they cook evenly and really well from my experience.
I am a little concerned about the long term quality of the pans, I am extremely careful and just like a new car you never want to get that first scratch so I have been cautious to only use wood or silicone tools and cautious in cleaning as well. But unfortunately already one pan has a ~2″ scratch on the inside. In addition the bottom exterior of the pans have developed a white ring of scratches around the bottom of a few of the pans. This ring appeared after the very first use with one of the pans. If I was making popcorn and sliding the pan back and forth I might understand scratch but that is not what happened.
My concern is that if I am this careful and already am having issue I wonder how well these will hold up. Unless this is an “out of the norm” issue I am not sure I would buy these again.

I have never had a “good” set of cookware before. I always just got the cheapest non-stick pans I could. I received gift cards for Christmas and decided to splurge. I (and my husband, who is the main cook), LOVE them!

The 13 piece contour hard anodized Cuisinart cookware set it’s beautiful to look at but the nonstick coating inside the pans does not seem to hold up to normal every day use. I love the look and style of these pans, but I am very disappointed with the ease at which the coating can be scratched off. I have had these hands for about three months and have used plastic utensils to protect the nonstick finish. nonetheless , I have found that the coating scratches easily and has even scratched off in some places. Very disappointing for as much as Cuisinart products cost. I bought the cookware because I was looking for a durable quality product and I was willing to pay a bit more for a Cuisinart brand in order to have a set of cookware that would last. I was tired of handles falling off of my old cookware. The handles are lovely on this cookware and the construction is solid, but again with the nonstick coating. When I purchased the product I even noticed some places where there was some chipping on the outer edge of some of the pans right out of the box. I was so hoping this would be a quality set that I bought some for my adult daughters and my son. I’m not sure how there’s are holding up, but I won’t be purchasing another set anytime soon.

Have used these several times since Christmas. They are excellent and look very nice in the kitchen. I have not tried cooking in the oven with them as yet. Cuisinart stainless steel pots and pans are great.
Clean the pots and pans in warm soapy water with a soft sponge and dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.
To season the pots and pans. In a clean stainless steel pan, add 1 tbsp of oil with a high smoke point. Heat the pan on low to medium heat, till you start seeing light smoke. Tilt the pan so that the oil is applied all around the pan. Turn off the heat and let the pan cool down.
When cooking start at a low heat, rather than high, and gradually increase heat on burner. If you use high heat you run the risk of burning or warping the bottom of the pan.
To clean after cooking food, simply rinse the pan under hot water and wipe out with a paper towel. If there is hard stuck on food in the pan boil some water let it sit for about 30 minutes and it should come right off. Another way to get food stains out of the pan is to buy some Bartenders Friend. This is specifically for stainless steel items such as pots and pans.

I have used all of the pieces of the set since purchasing it just a couple of weeks ago. I have been extremely happy with this cookware. I have learned how to cook with stainless steel pots and pans and have found the stainless steel to be far superior to any of the other types of cookware I have had so far.
