I’ve never used a fondue set before. I always thought they would be fun to cook with, experiment with, and try different things with. I was a bit intimidated about the unit when I initially got it. I was worried I would mess things up with this unique cooking style, but much to my surprise, it was very easy to use.
The set comes with everything you need (minus the food). You get 8 long colored forks, which come in handy to differentiate which one belongs to whom or what each item is. You get the cook pot with a top, which basically keeps your forks from sliding in and all bunching up while cooking. You also get the plug and adapter, which has the temperature control on it.
The setup is fairly straightforward, however, don’t be like me and spend 2 minutes trying to plug the thing in. One part of the adapter goes right into the pot – easy enough. The other part is what connects to the extension cord. I tried for a few minutes to forcefully plug it into the adapter without any success. Come to find out, it’s a magnetic connection. You don’t need to force anything in. The magnets will attach themselves together, which is a very nice safety mechanism in case the cord gets pulled by accident. The last thing you’d want is for that hot pot to tip over and dump everything out.
There is a temperature control on the adapter. It’s a circular knob you can turn from low heat to high heat, and everything in between. It does get hot very fast, and the hot setting gets very hot. I suggest starting to cook on low, and gradually turning the temperature up to the right setting. There were a few times when we had the pot too hot and it burnt the cheese or chocolate when we initially put it in. It will take some getting used to.
One major caution I’d like to point out is that the pot gets very hot. This seems like a no brainer, but you tend to forget. This is especially true if you have young children cooking with you. They’re very eager to cook themselves and look inside the pot. Be very careful they don’t get too close, lean over, or have their arms touch the pot. You will need constant supervision if you have little ones around.
One aspect I would change is the size of the pot. I wish there were different size pots you could cook with. For example, when we made the chocolate fondue, there was no need to fill the whole pot with chocolate. We only needed a small amount. It ended up being just a thin layer of liquid chocolate at the bottom of the pot. If the pot were smaller, we would have been able to actually dip it in. On the other hand, if you cook meats with liquids, you’ll want a large full pot in order to submerge all the meats. Having the option for different size pots would be nice.
I was really concerned about the clean up. I imagined myself scrubbing and soaking everything. This wasn’t the case. Cleanup was very easy. The pot itself cleans very easily, even when you have stuff cooked or burnt on it. I washed everything by hand and it came looking like new. It was very little effort.
I do suggest reading the included book. It offers nice tips on how to cook, what ingredients work best, and fun suggestions. While it seems intuitive to just melt stuff in the pot, it does take a bit of getting used to in order to make things turn out just right. Despite this, we love this fondue set and can’t wait to continue experimenting with different recipes.

I found my new party toy! I set this up two days after I received it and purchased a book of all the various kinds of fondue. I’ve learned ementhal and Gruyère are the 2 types of Cheese that give you that classic Swiss fondue taste.
This pot was big enough to handle any party. There are eight color coded skewers, the pot itself is a attractive, and this thing is super nonstick! There was a little bit of fondue left, and it literally slid out into a container. This beautiful fondue pot is going to get lots of use. Next stop, a dessert fondue! Highly recommended.

I wanted a Fondue pot so badly, that I finally got one by Green Life. Since I had other products from them I loved, I thought I would be safe getting their Fondue Pot. Wrong! I had nothing but problems with it and it was all because of their “safety” plug. It’s dangerous in my opinion. It doesn’t lock like normal plugs because it’s magnetic which is the problem. It kept losing connection over and over again. If you even bumped the table the plug lost connection. Don’t buy this!

Holy wow! I had never had fondue but it’s now a new found love! My wife and I decided to throw a fondue get together with our new fondue pot. This pot is so easy to use! We had cheese fondue that was so easy to make. The pot keeps the cheese at just the right temperature so it wasn’t clumps but smooth and dripping off the bread and steak. We cooked the steak on our grill then dipped into the cheese. We had so much enjoyment we ordered a second pot to use for additional dripping creations.
Well made and keeps a steady temperature.

Love the pink! Would love to have an option to buy the sticks in a certain color as a set. Like I would love to have 7 or 8 of each color as we use these pots for full meals with lots of people. We each use our own color. Having at least 5 of the same color would be cool. Oh, it would be nice to have a specific temp on the dial instead of try to guess. But overall, love these!

Sharing food with friends and family is something I love. Having a fun and easy way to introduce this food is also important. I believe presentation is just as important as how the food tastes.
Fondue is not only delicious, but fun. Before using this Green Life Fondue Pot, I’ve only had fondue at a restaurant. I wasn’t sure how easy it would be at home, but luckily after using this a couple times, it was actually really simple.
The included instructions made it simple to learn how to use this item. It also gave tips for different types of fondue and some recipes.
I was happy that this company included fondue forks, plenty for a large group. The forks are a good length and are colored on the ends, so each person will know what fork is theirs.
As for the actual fondue pot, it’s a really large size. Great for a larger family or get together. If you only plan on a couple people using it, you’ll probably have tons of leftovers. The pot has a top part that you can rest your fondu fork on, so it doesn’t slide around. One feature I love about this item is that the cord is magnetic. The dial part pushes in, but the cord easily releases if it were to get pulled on or if a foot snags it. Definitely helps! Our cord was pulled, and because of the quick release, our fondue pot stayed put on the table.
With a nice non-stick coating, I was quickly able to clean out my pot. The cheese fondue didn’t stick at all.
I’ve also used this pot for an Asian Hot Pot dinner. It helped keep the broth at the perfect temperature to cook up shrimp, meats, and soft vegetables. This is such a great kitchen electronic, and I can’t wait to try it out for dessert next. Definitely recommend!

I have great memories of fondue dinners with my family growing up and wanted to bring this tradition to my own children.
We all love the Green Life ceramic fondue pot. It’s spacious and has plenty of room for all family members to join in. The 8 color coded forks make it easy for everyone to have their own.
It takes a bit of trial and error to find the correct temperature, but the temperature control is very easy to use.
The non stick interior makes clean up a breeze, the inner pot and lid are even dishwasher safe.
The power cord could be a little bit longer, but overall this product is definitely a winner for me.

Wow, is my first response. I cooked up some sausage and melted a bit of cheese. We did fresh bread cubes with chips. I looked up a chocolate chip with a heavy whipping cream and fresh fruit recipe, I want to try next. The pot keeps your temp nice & warm. The different colored forks makes it easy to enjoy a little family time. The wonderful part of my new fondue pot is, it holds quite a bit so that’s nice also. I recommend and hope you have just as much fun!!
