Dissapointing product !!!
We bought the sink Kraus model KBU-12 about 2 months ago but took some time for the new counter top installers to finish the work, so we started using it 5-6 days ago. First we noticed that it holds the water, it does not drain completely, and leaves drops or small puddles. Also drops of water remain on the sides as well, resulting in many spots, requiring constant wiping. Consequently, when it dries leaves many spots with the appearance of dirt !
In addition it scratches easily, and already has several scratches. We did not use any abrassive material, only soft sponges.
It is inferior to the previous, 30 year old sink, which was functioning beautifully.
Decorative sink but not with the function expected.

We purchased the same sink three years ago as part of a kitchen counter upgrade, but have since moved. The Deep Basket strainer was so useful, we bought one standalone to replace the standard basket on our Kohler sink in our new home. We went back to the same Kraus KBU24 sink for our new home when we replaced the counters here because it worked so well at 60/40 and looked so good in our former house.

The sink size is wonderful. The problem I have is that I have had it a month and it leaves water lines .And it had discoloration when I filled it with water and let the water stand as I was baking and washing dishes as I was cleaning up. Otherwise I like the product.

I bought this sink to replace mine after the adhesive failed and the sink fell off from under my granite countertop. The craftsmanship is incredible, extremely durable finish….. the best. Thank you!

I like the smaller size sink (I previously had a 3-bowl sink), and racks. My old disposal works in it (with a new gasket kit) and is noticeably quieter, due to the sink soundproofing.
I also like the lower divider, because I don’t have to use as much water to wash my dishes, and my cookie sheets are much easier to wash. The pull-down faucet is easy to use and well-positioned in both sinks.
I also like that I only needed one hole for the faucet. Very happy with this sink in my new counters!!!

We did an update late 2021. Love my undercount Kraus sink. Am a little unhappy with the plastic pieces that elevate the grids. They are split (to slide around the grid), which also allows them to come off and end up in the disposal-not good. Any suggestions?

Was hesitant to purchase a sink that I was unable to see in person, but this has met all my expectations, and more… When I opened the box, it looked like it had been gift-wrapped! The sink was cradled in a substantial amount of packing materials. Once those were removed, I found the sink in a canvas-type bag (with the Kraus logo,) which was encased in heavy plastic. The sink stopper and drain were packed in plastic, in solid cardboard boxes. And, Kraus even provided a logo dishtowel! I’ve had it about 6 weeks now, and could not be happier. It looks just as good as the day it arrived. What a great complement to my new counter top. Check out the before and after photos attached. You will see what a difference this sink makes in my kitchen. It replaced two sinks that were 7″ deep and 16″ wide, which translates to useless to anyone who actually uses their kitchen sink. Highly recommended.

I like the overall looks and function of this sink. What I don’t like is keeping it stainless. If you don’t wipe it dry after each use it leaves stains. Not to mention I have scratches on the bottom of the sink. I purchased a mat for the sink and it left water marks.

Remodel on a kitchen and powder room, I researched every appliance, faucet, sink, lights, etc. For the Krauss sink, I am very pleased with the depth and size of the sink, love the different style finish. It is not a smooth flat finish, but rather a type of a diamond cut finish. I am concerned though because I believe the spaces between these diamond cuts holds odors. Every three to four weeks I have to gently scrub the sink with Weiman stainless steel cleaner to kill the odors. There are only two people in my household, so the sink is used mainly at dinner and weekends.
Not sure what to do?

After all the excellent reviews, I was convinced this would be a step up from my 8 yr old stainless steel sink. I think I made a mistake. The sink was installed yesterday along with new countertops. I thought the smudges were due to some of the adhesive the installers used. I called them back and they were able to use some solution to remove the marks. Today I had a plumber reattach the faucet and disposal. More smudges on the sink. Not in the same place as yesterday. Thinking they might be grease or similar, I tried soapy water and a scotch Brite pad but it didn’t help. Then tried Bar Keeper’s Friend. That actually made the marks worse. My new sink looks dirty. Help. I want a clean, smudge-free sink. What should I do?

I cannot say enough about this sink (UB32). I’m so impressed with the quality, fit, and finish. The fact that it comes with the drains and trays for such a great price. So happy with the rubber coating on it for silencing. You cannot go wrong with this one. I wanted a large single bowl and my husband wanted a double sink. This was an awesome compromise with the lower divider.

I first bought a sink that was in the store a lowe’s after opening and having the faucet installed about to use putty to install peeled off the blue plastic wrap off and notice the finish on that sink was very rough and seemed not finished so glad this happened and caused me to research and find this sink I ordered on a Saturday very late night and it was here on that Monday. I have no idea why would not stock these instead of the one I returned and even stated that when I returned the other sink. This is sooo much better total sound proofed with the two drains one deep with a removable strainer and a rag plus a big sack around the whole sink which I will be using to cover my 26 gallon stand up air compressor when not in use It was shipped in a heavy duty box too. I recommend this sink we replaced our 6 inch deep sink this deep sink drains great I was worried about a deep sink not draining well I also got the 1 hp. Prestige Insinkerator garbage disposer what a team with this sink.

Beautiful sink and large enough for my kitchen however after about two weeks of use I already see small rust spots. It is unreasonable to expect that the sink will be wiped off dry after every use by everyone in our family. But I do wipe it off and buff it with microfiber cloth every evening before leaving the kitchen for the night. They claim it’s made of 304 stainless steel – I read that following good steelmaking practices, this steel is supposed to be non-magnetic; I tested mine and the magnet sticks to it – something I wish I knew about before having it installed. I am going to attempt to remove rust but I don’t have high hopes that it will not reappear. I bough it from build.com.

I am not satisfied with my purchase. This sink was installed for less than a week by the time it already had MULTIPLE scratches, for normal use. Also, no matter how much I clean it, it never looks fully clean or shiny. There is no reason why this sink should be rated anything above one star. Very disappointed.

Love this sink, so happy I bought this one! My plumber brought a sink & actually said that my sink was better quality, sound proofing & it came with a rack, his did not!

I am so glad I decided to buy a single bowl sink and this model KBU14 is just what I was hoping to find. I had to order it and it arrived with plenty of packaging to protect it. This sink has just enough rounded corners to clean well and still have lots of space on the bottom of the sink. And the large strainer works so well that we decided to delay installing a garbage disposal. Comes with a separate (nice) drain plug so sink can hold water. The rack for the bottom of the sink is an added bonus. Very happy with my purchase!

I purchased this sink because of the Kraus brand name, excellent reviews, and the included BST-1 and ST-1 Stainless Steel Strainers. However, during installation, I discovered that the strainers were not compatible with my garbage disposal. I had to reuse the ugly strainers from my old sink, and leave the beautiful Kraus strainers in the box. I really wish this had been mentioned somewhere on the product listing. The C-channels were also wider than the ones from my old sink, which required cutting a 1/4″ off three sides of the cutout in my granite countertop.

I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before committing to the purchase of this product. I like that it is constructed from 16 gauge stainless steel when most of the competition uses 18 gauge ( as the number gets smaller numerically the thickness increases) so that was a deciding factor in selection. Also the removable strainer basket keeps larger bits from entering the drain and is easy to empty and clean. Finally the raised drainer rack allows for air circulation around items placed on it to drain or dry. The MicroShield finish is a nice alternative to the more common brushed finish and only time and use will determine whether it will retain its intended functionality.
The depth of the bowl coupled with a high arc faucet allows for cleaning up large cookware or large amounts of garden produce. A very good value for price paid!

I am please with the quality of this sink, It has Noise defend soundproofing. I use it in a laundry room as a utility sink and it is perfect. The packaging and protection used to ship the sink is beyond what many companies use. Total protection for the sink and a nasty gash in the outside box did not make it through to the protective layers inside the box and then the sink itself was in a nice bag for further protection. Wonderful job and a great product. I’m sold on KRAUS products.

Before I purchased this sink, I read lots of the reviews. I took a chance b/c the price and the look of this Kraus sink is beautiful, packaged very nicely. the depth is awesome. The sink dries spoty no matter how I often I wipe dry. I tried a rinse agent I use in the dishwasher, nothing works. There’s several scratches. I would not suggest this sink to anyone. the spotting is the reason I give this sink 3 stars

We updated our previous kitchen and then moved to a new home. I insisted that we upgrade from the cheap, loud, ugly sink to my old favorite, this one. We got the job done and I am so happy to have my old sink in my new house!

The sink was packed impeccably! It was well protected and professionally packed. It came in a box inside a thick foam insert, and the sink was inside of a nice black bag that had a pull string closing the top. The sink is way beyond our expectations. The stainless sink is sturdy and has a really nice finish to it. The rubber bottom is such a nice lining to reduce sound and makes it even sturdier. It came with the drain strainer. It also includes a template in order to cut the opening for the sink. I would recommend it.
